Amb el cor de rumba neix aquest projecte jove a principis del 2008, quan a les sales d'assaig d'Hospitalet ens començàrem a juntar, meitat de Cornellà i meitat de Barcelona (amb alguna excepció), un grupet de joves disposats a fer soroll. Poc a poc, i a base d'anar treballant, aquest soroll va anar agafant forma i juntament amb les noves incorporacions, el que havia nascut com una simple rumba, es va anar fusionant amb una diversitat d'estils per donar pas al que vàrem denominar "l'intent de la mescla". I així, assaig rere assaig, concert a concert, cada cop es va perfilant un repertori que creix continuament, tot intentant calmar les inquietuds que un dia ens varen portar fins aquí.

Rumba is a dance term with two quite different meanings. First, it means Cuban event of African style 352-001, organically related to the rumba genre of Afro-Cuban music. There are several styles of this rumba, the most common being the guaguancó 640-802.[1]Second, it refers to one of the ballroom dances which occurs in social dance and in international competitions. In this sense 642-164, rumba is the slowest of the five competitive International Latin dances: the paso doble, the samba, the cha-cha-cha and the jive being the others. This ballroom rumba was also danced in 642-611 Cuba to a rhythm they call the bolero-son; the international style was derived from studies of dance in Cuba in the pre-revolutionary period.
